Quiz 1

Dear CSEN301 Students, Quiz 1 will take place on Monday 13.10.2014 during the 5th slot. It will cover the content given in Lectures 1, 2, 3 and 4 as well as practice assignments 1, 2 and 3. Please check the file uploaded with the course material for the exact timing and locations and stick to them.

Midterm Exam Content

Dear Students, Kindly note that the priority queue content given this week is included in the midterm on the conceptual level only but you will not be asked to write code implementation using Priority Queues.

PA4 Solution Updated

Dear Students, Please note that the solution to practice assignment 4 has been updated on Wednesday 22.10.2014. So, kindly re-download the file :) The only difference is in the solution of EX 4-6.

Pop Lab Assignments

Dear All, This is a reminder that, as announced in the lecture, you have graded pop lab assignments in this course which are worth 10% of your course grade. Starting next week (20.09.2014), random groups will have their pop lab assignments. The pop lab assignments given in any week will cover the material discussed in the tutorial/lab of the previous week. Hence, we strongly advise you to practice regularly and write code, not just study on paper. Best of luck.

CSEN 301 Coding Camp

Dear Students Currently a coding camp is being planned for the CS3 course. However, the only available day before your final exam is Friday, 2nd of January 2015. Short round buses will be provided. To Briefly describe the day, you will gather in one of the big halls and bring their laptops along, A set of problems will be distributed, and you will attempt to solve them and the TAs will assist you in solving these problems. The problem set will contain problems of a level that is harder than usual in order to practice for the final exam. Thank you

Coding Camp Details

Dear Students The coding camp will be held as planned next Friday January 2nd, 2015 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM in C1 to benefit the most from this camp, kindly bring along your laptops with java installed on them and prepare all the data structures files (which could be found on the MET website). Try to bring along Electrical distributors in order not to face problems with lack of available plugs . Busses will leave the meeting points at 8:AM in order to reach the university in time for the camp. More details about the busses will be posted on the met website.
