Milestone 1 posted

Kindly note that the project description is now posted on the MET website. In addition, Milestone 1 and Milestone 2 will be merged into one milestone that will be called “Milestone 1”. Therefore, the project will be 3 milestones only, not 4. Milestone 1 Evaluations

Kindly note that this week starting (31st of October 2017 till 6th of November 2017) there will be NO labs. Milestone 1 evaluations will take place during this week. You are required to choose a slot for your evaluation through the following link: https://doodle.com/poll/qvequibxdgxv6znv. The deadline for reserving an evaluation slot is Saturday 28/10/2017 at 11:59 pm. Evaluations from 31st of October till 2nd of November will take place in C6.301. Evaluations on the 5th and 6th of November will take place in C7.301. PLEASE READ THE REMAINING GUIDELINES SENT TO YOU IN THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL CAREFULLY.

Milestone 1 Evaluation Timings Posted

Kindly note that the timings for Milestone 1 evaluations are now posted. Please check the document to confirm your slot and revise the guidelines sent in the notification titled "[CSEN 501] Milestone 1 Evaluations" CAREFULLY. Teams that did not choose an evaluation slot using the Doodle were randomly assigned to the remaining free slots.

Milestone 2 Posted

Kindly note that Milestone 2 is now posted on the MET website. Please check the documents called "Milestone 2" and "Milestone 2 Conventions" for the milestone guidelines. Kindly note that you should start working on the milestone as it needs much work from your side. Deadline for Milestone 2: 20th of November at 11:59 pm. Best of luck :)

Milestone 2 Submission Link

As sent to you last week, kindly note that the submission of Milestone 2 will not be using the MET website. It will be using this platform: https://db-milestone2.herokuapp.com/ . Only one .zip folder containing all the required documents will be submitted via ONE team member, by signing in to the platform using his/her GUC username and password. Note that, the platform will not accept any submissions after the deadline (Wednesday 22/11 at 11:59 pm).

Milestone 2 Postponed

According to your request, Milestone 2 deadline is now postponed to be on Wednesday 22/11 at 11:59 PM, taking time from Milestone 3 as it will be posted on its time. Best of Luck :)

Milestone 3 Posted

Please check the document called Milestone 3. Deadline for Milestone 3: 4th of December at 11:59 pm. Kindly note that, the website is divided into five components. The first component is a mandatory one, which means all the teams should have it in their project. For the remaining four components, each member of the team will be assigned to one component to implement. Each member of the team is required to submit a form choosing the component that he/she will be working on, latest by Saturday 25th of November at 11:59 pm, using the following link: https://goo.gl/forms/mO2PXSQ24HjpptdZ2. In case a team member didn't submit the above form, his/her evaluation grade will be for all the components of the milestone. Note that this year we posted two manuals to help you start your website if you are using ASP.net, one for mac users, and one for windows users. Also, you will find two ASP.net projects with a simple login example in them, one for mac users and one for windows users. Best of luck :)

Unexpectedly, some of you asked how to display a table on the website. Although this information is available online, and you are supposed to search for it as this is a self-learning milestone, note that the sample website for windows is now updated to show how to display a table on a WebForm.

Tutorials and Labs

There are no tutorials nor labs on Sunday and Monday.

Milestone 3 Extended

Due to receiving many requests to extend the deadline of Milestone 3 again, it has been extended till Thursday the 14th of December at 11:59 pm.
